For openers, there is NO EQUIPMENT to buy. You will need a small microwave antenna on the outside of your house. It will be installed by Sioux Valley Wireless technicians as part of our one-time $25 installation package. After that, your monthly equipment lease/maintenance fee will be included in our $37.95 plus tax basic monthly equipment/programming charge.If your home has no cable wiring, we will do this for you to receive our service. Our standard installation charge of $25.00 includes the wiring and cable to one TV set. After that, each additional cable outlet desired will cost an additional one-time charge of $25.00 to install.
In case you're interested in the technical side of things,
Sioux Valley Wireless's microwave signal travels through the air from our tower to your home via microwave free from interference from rain, wind or snow. Our signal normally has an effective range of about 35 miles. It travels "line of sight" from our tower to your location. In relatively rare situations, hills, trees, buildings or other obstructions can interfere with our signal, making it impossible to serve certain locations. We have South Dakota towers in Colman, east of Sioux Falls, and in Freeman. When you request service, a Sioux Valley Wireless technician will do a signal test at your location. If we can't provide a strong, clear signal, we'll tell you before any equipment is installed and you'll owe us nothing.Sioux Valley Wireless uses a "whole house" antenna system.
That means your cable-ready TV sets won't need those annoying set-top boxes. If your house already has cable jacks, you'll be able to watch SVTV channels from all of them. And yes, you can watch and record different SVTV channels in different rooms at the same time. There's no additional charge regardless of how many sets are hooked up.
