I think I may have a virus, what do I need to do?
1. Do you have anti-virus software on your computer?
Yes - Move on to step two
No - You need to buy anti-virus software for your computer

2. Is your anti-virus software up to date? Yes - Move on to step three

3. You need to run a virus scan to check for viruses. Yes - my software found a virus. Follow the steps provided by the anti-virus software to remove the virus off of your computer
No - my software did not find the virus. Move on to step four
4. You need to boot into save mode and run a virus scan - Turn the PC on
- Tap the F8 key about once a second as the PC boots up
- You should keep tapping F8 until a menu comes up
- Choose the safe mode with networking options
- If you are asked to select your operating system, select it
Once you are in safe mode you need to run a virus scan just as you would in normal mode.
