How To Setup Your Macintosh OS X E-Mail for the First Time:
1. Open Mail.
2. Click on Mail, then select Preferences.
3. Click on Accounts. (In the top, left-hand side of this window).
4. Click on the Plus sign. (In the bottom, left-hand corner of this window).
5. Make sure Account Information is selected.
Next to Account Type, click on the double arrows -
6. Select the POP option.
7. Type in the following information:
In the Description textbox: enter the name that will appear in the Accounts column.
In the Email Address textbox: enter your choice followed by @svtv.com
In the Full Name textbox: enter your First and Last Name.
8. Type in the following information:
In the Incoming Mail Server textbox: mail.svtv.com
In the User Name textbox: enter the text in your e-mail address before the @ symbol.
In the Password textbox: enter your password for this account.
9. Next to Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), click on the double arrows -
Click on mail.svtv.com
10. Click on the Server Settings button.
11. Select Password from the Authentication dropdown.
12. Enter in your email User Name and Password.
13. Click on the OK button.
14. Close the mail window by clicking on the red circle in the top, left-hand corner.
15. Click on the Save button.
16. Setup is complete.
How To Change Your Macintosh OS X E-Mail:
1. Open Mail.
2. Click on Mail, then select Preferences.
3. Click on Accounts. (In the top, left-hand side of this window).
Here is where you will verify the correct settings, and make the appropriate changes.
4. Under Account Type POP
In the Description textbox: description of the account
In the Email Address textbox: your correct email address
In the Full Name textbox: your full name
5. In the Incoming Mail Server textbox: mail.svtv.com
In the User Name textbox: should equal the text in your e-mail address before the @ symbol.
In the Password textbox: reenter the password for this account
6. In the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) textbox: mail.svtv.com
7. Click on the Server Settings button.
8. Select Password from the Authentication dropdown.
9. Enter in your email User Name and Password.
10. Click on the OK button.
11. Close the mail window by clicking on the red circle in the top, left-hand corner.
12. Click on the Save button.
13. You are Done.
