How To Setup Your Macintosh - Netscape E-Mail for the First Time:
1. Open Netscape Mail.
2. Click Next.
3. In the Your Name textbox: enter your first and last name.
In the Email address textbox: enter your choice followed by @svtv.com
4. Click Next.
5. If you would like to give your email account a different name, you may enter it here.
6. Click Next.
7. Click Next.
8. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server textbox: enter mail.svtv.com
9. Click Next.
10. In the Mail server user name textbox: enter your user name.
This is the text in your e-mail address before the @ symbol.
11. In the Incoming mail server textbox: enter mail.svtv.com
12. If not selected, click in the POP radio button next to Mail server type.
13. Click Next.
14. Click Next.
15. You can pick which ones they would like to create.
16. Click Next.
17. Click Next.
18. Click Done.
If you will notice, we did not set a password for your e-mail account. You will be prompted to enter a new password the first time you open Netscape mail.
If the Mail Folder did not automatically open after clicking Done, there should be a vertical menu bar to the right.
19. Click Inbox.
When the Mail Folder is open, it should prompt you to enter a new email password.
20. If not, click Get Msg in the horizontal menu bar.
21. Type the password for this account in the textbox.
22. Click OK.
23. Setup is complete.
How To Change Your Macintosh - Netscape E-Mail:
1. Open Netscape Mail
2. Click Edit, then select Preferences.
Here is where you will verify the correct settings, and make the appropriate changes.
3. Under Mail & Newsgroups, click on Identity.
4. In the Your name textbox: enter your full name
In the Email address textbox: enter your choice followed by @svtv.com
5. Under Mail & Newsgroups, click on Mail Servers. 6. In the Incoming Mail Servers textbox: mail.svtv.com
In the Outgoing Mail Server textbox: mail.svtv.com
In the Outgoing mail server user name textbox: should equal the first part of your email address.
7. When everything is correct, Click OK.
