How To Setup Your Macintosh - Outlook Express E-Mail for the First Time:

1. Open Outlook Express.

2.  Click on Tools and then select Accounts.

3. Click on New in the top, left-hand corner.

4.  In the Display name textbox, type the name that you want others to see when you send a message. 5. Click on the in the bottom, right-hand corner.

6. In the E-mail address textbox: type your new e-mail address. 7. Click on the in the bottom, right-hand corner.

8. Verify that My incoming mail server is a(n) POP server.     If not, click on the  and select POP. 9. In the Incoming mail server textbox: enter mail.svtv.com     In the Outgoing mail server textbox: enter mail.svtv.com 10. Click on the in the bottom, right-hand corner.

11. In the Account ID textbox: enter the text in your e-mail address before the @ symbol.       In the Password textbox: enter your password for this account. 12. Click on the in the bottom, right-hand corner.

13. Click Finish.

14. Setup is complete.

 

 

How To Change Your Macintosh - Outlook Express E-Mail:

1. Open Outlook Express.

2.  Click on Tools, then select Accounts.

3. Under the Mail tab, highlight your email account by clicking on it.  4. Click the Edit button.

Here is where you will verify the correct settings, and make the appropriate changes.

5. Under Personal information     In the Name textbox: your full name     In the E-mail address textbox: your correct email address

6. Under Receiving mail     In the Account ID textbox: should equal the text in your e-mail address before the @ symbol.     In the POP server textbox: mail.svtv.com     In the Save Password textbox: reenter the password for this account

7. Under Sending mail       In the SMTP server textbox: mail.svtv.com

8. Click OK.
