How to Setup Outlook 2003 to Remove Spam:
 
1. Open Outlook
 


 

2. Click on Tools > Rules and Alerts....
 


 

3. Click on New Rule...
 


 

4. Under Step 1: Select a template > Stay Organized
    Click on Delete a conversation
 


 

5. Under Step 2: Edit the rule description (click an underlined value)
   
Click on specific words
 
This will open a new window. Here you are going to enter in keywords that will be filtered out. You choose these keywords. For example: mortgage

6. Type your keyword in the textbox and click on the Add button.
 


 

You are able to type in as many keywords as needed. Type each keyword into the textbox, click on the Add button after each phase/word.

7. When you have entered all keyword, click the OK button.
 


 

8. What do you want to do with the message?
     We are going to delete it.
     Click the Next button on the right-hand corner
 


 

9. Are there any exceptions?
    We don't have any exceptions
    Click the Next button in the right-hand corner
 


 

10. Specify a name for this rule:
      You are able to name this rule at this time.
      When you have given this rule a name click the Finish button in the right-hand corner.
 


 

11. Your new rule should appear in the Rule box.
      Click the Apply button in the bottom, right-hand corner.
      Now click the OK button.
 


 

You have successful applied a spam delete filter.
